The Spring Weekend is taking place this year from Thursday the 26th of March to Monday the 30th, including the Stallion Parade which will take place on Sunday 29th March, starting at 11am.

Thursday afternoon: ICCPS meeting in the Station House Hotel.
Thursday night: Photographic Exhibition by John Petch at the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel.
Friday morning: Colt inspections commence at the Showgrounds.
Friday night: Station House Hotel table Quiz starts at 8.30pm.
Saturday morning: International Judges and Drivers Clinics will take place in the Showgrounds.
Saturday afternoon: Young Handlers Course, Evaluating the Connemara Pony for Today’s Market, and Presenting and Showing the Young Pony in-Hand.
Saturday night: Mrs. Petch, well known author on Connemara Ponies, will give a lecture on the Thoroughbred Influence in the Connemara Pony in the Station House Hotel. This will be the first in the series of the Bartley O’Sullivan lectures. A painting of the pony in its native setting, by midlands artist Siobhan Bulfin, will be auctioned immediately after the lecture. A limited edition of fifty prints of the painting will also be on sale. The Bartley O sullivan lecture itself will be avaiulable in booklet form. Admission is free.
Sunday: The stallion parade will take place at 11am. It is expected there will be 70 stallions on display. The parade will run all day and is an occasion not to be missed as it will provide breeders with a great opportunity to view the finest of the breed and their progeny. A dressage display will also take place during the day.
Monday: Colt Inspections will be held in Rockmount.
