2009 Stallion Parade
It was unfortunate that constant rain dampened the atmosphere for Sunday’s Stallion Parade which was intended to be the highlight of the Spring Weekend. Having conducted the various clinics and seminars in beautiful sunshine on Saturday, it was a pity that most of the fifty stallions on parade had to strutt their stuff in the wet conditions. It still proved to be a hugely enjoyable occasion for the many breeders from home and abroad who came to Clifden for the weekend. Macdara showed Blue Smokie, and he looked very impressive indeed, and drew quite many favourable comments (the stallion, that is!).
