Congratulations to Blanche Miller and Ruth Blaug of the Rosenaharley Stud who celebrated 50 years in Connemaras in 2009
Blanche and Ruth were regular visitors to Sean Mac Lochlainn in the early 1960′s. They stood the iconic MacNamara S-175 (pictured above, photo from the Caragh Connemara Website), the beautiful son of MacDara (S-91) bred by Joe King of Dunloughan. Thank you both for your 50 years of dedication. True friends to the pony.
For the record, Joe King’s neighbour Paddy King started something in ’59: he won the Killanin Cup for three and four year old mares with Village Belle (M-1855); Anthony Flaherty won the stallion class with Clonkeehan Auratum (S-104); Sean won the 2year old colt class with Céiléog (S-109), and Tom attended his first Clifden.
