Summer’s End. Ponies growing their winter coats already, unburnished by a Summer sun. Foals deprived of their summer ration of vitamin D, vital for increasing the flow of calcium into the bloodstream and necessary for bone growth and remodeling. Any effect? Was that 400% normal rainfall? Phew! The Journal warning of fodder shortages to come. No doubt about that. We will need to be at our resilient best this winter. Just love a challenge…
