Bobby Bolger
The huge crowd of mourners at Bobby Bolger’s funeral was testimony to his status in the Connemara Pony community. Bobby was knowledgeable and passionate and, in pony parlance, he had “presence”.
When Bobby took seriously to showing ponies in the 90′s he had a lot to live up to. His father Jack had won in Clifden with famous ponies Heather Mixture of Abbeyleix (M-2709), Cashel Kate (M-2030) and Noble Star (S-17). If anything, Bobby surpassed his father’s achievements with five campionships from Coral Star S-890 (1), Queen Gillian M-9494 (2) Coral Misty M-8642 (2). He will be sadly missed at Clifden Show Day.
