On a recent inspection tour in Canada, Máire and I came across a lot of lovely ponies and stunning scenery – not to mention great people.
It is incredible to find Connemaras of the highest quality in so many locations from Quebec all the way west to Vancouver Island. It was gratifying to see the decendants of Lovely Lormount, Citeog, Little Rover, Inbher Órga, and Rúta Raithní – all of whom left Moycullen in 1969 – and of Bar S Heather, who left Moycullen in ’79. Attached are some of the images of the trip.
Hi Eamon,
I enjoyed looking at the photos of the Canadian Tour. I recognize many of the ponies in your gallery and am curious to know who the dark brown/grey pony standing behind the chesnut/chesnut flaxen is. Do you recall?
Hi Lisa, just after going through the pics with dad again, and, while he’s not sure of the name of the pony, he does remember it was a yearling gelding belonging to Rick Donner…
The bay stallion with the horse trailer in the background sure is beautiful. Not a bad picture considering he was just pulled out of the pasture.
Hi Shirley, Tom says you might be a little biased… Who owns the trailer??
How are the irish lessons going?
Okay here it goes… Ta leataobhach orm, ta se capaillin stail cailiochta. i had to leave the accents out. How did I do? Oh and I own the trailer. Take care.
