Horse Sport Ireland
At a recent meeting of the CPBS Council, it was decided that the Society would join Horse Sport Ireland on a one-year trial basis. Horse Sport Ireland is an umberella body for all equestrian organisations in Ireland. This is a new agency which will be responsible for devising and implementing strategies for the development and promotion of an internationally competitive Irish sport horse industry (breeding, sport and leisure sides). John O’Donoghue, T.D., Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, has designated Joe Walsh, T.D., as the Chairman of the new Agency.
The organisation deals with many aspects of equestrian performance such as Show Jumping, Eventing, Dressage, Endurance, Driving, and Para-Equestrian sports.
