Lakeside Lassie takes Oughterard
Congratulations to the Oughterard Show Committee for running their usually successful two-day show despite the vagaries of the Irish summer. Lakeside Lassie (S.B. No. M-13526, Streamstown Larry X Hilltop) took the Overall Championship for Tommy Francis Mullen. Padraig Hynes’ yearling Canal Princess (Hazy Match X Castle Countess) took the Reserve. Mr. What took the Powers Quarry International Performance Championship for Elizabeth Maher. We hope to have full results available shortly.
Congratulations and well done to all involved with the show, a very well organised show. Times are fast changing for the country and indeed our native pony. Last sunday was my 36th oughterard show and it was great to see all the familiar faces, the show ring has become very competitive, but our true connemara pony will always shine. Again well done to the organising committee
