Lecarrow King at HOYS

Lookout Calla Surprise enjoying the snow in Wales!
Lecarrow King, ridden by Jayne Webber and produced by Sam and Suzi Roberts, and owned by Lady Celia Vestey and Henrietta Knight. was Reserve Champion at Olympia in the NPS/Baileys Horse Feeds Mountain and Moorland Supreme Ridden Championship. This fantastic success follows on from his earlier victory at HOYS, where he gained fourth place in the Mountain & Moorland Pony of the Year (New Forest & Connemara section). This marks his retirement from ridden classes.
It it interesting to note that the Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Pony of the Year Championship was won by Sarah Challinor on a Dartmoor stallion – Pumphill Buckthorn – who also took the Supreme at Hoys. Sarah has huge links with Connemaras, with the champion Worker Rebels Ghost (ECPSG-1404) in her yard. She is currently producing Lookout Calla Surprise (M-18403) for Noel Noonan of Manor Connemara Ponies . Calla Suprise was the top priced lot at the recent Clifden Connemara Sales realising 5000 euro.
Our heartfelt thanks to Kathryn Rayner Freeman for doing the tremendous amount of work of organizing this first WPCSA Mountain Moorland show!.
