The shoes are off as we launch a new poll (in the Sidebar on the right) to see which pony you feel was the most remarkable pony of 2009. Four contenders – Clifden champion Currachmore Cashel; two-time European medallist Sillogue Darkie; ’09 European Individual Gold winner Ballyowen Maybelle Molly; or Prospect Peter, the winner of the prestigious 148 class at the RDS this year (incidentally also ridden at the time by Kelly Allen). The ballots are already coming in, so be sure to add your voice and cast your vote! We’ll keep the poll up until the end of the month and publish the results here on the front page. Let battle commence!
Molly all the way tom .
Anthony..
Thanks Anthony – you don’t have to vote every day, you know! ;)
When the others have done as much as our Darkie then they can talk!! Did you know that he won two Premier Grand Prixs and was third twice and placed many times and despite missing three shows he still finished 2nd and won the pony of the year award? This on top of winning the team silver medal and finishing 7th in the individuuals and that was only in 2009!! What will he do next year?? He is special and just loves to jump! Michael is now riding his full brother Maximus and shows great promise.
