Onwards and Upwards…

Just said I’d make a quick post on behalf of Tom and everyone else at Ashbrook Stud to thank all of you who have been visiting us in ever increasing numbers since the launch of the site back in February. We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to grow the site as time goes on.

We’ve been working very hard on building up the site, and hopefully – sometime in May – we’ll be unveiling a brand new version to carry us on into the future! It will feature a new layout, a completely new style, better content management and, of course, all of the content we can cram into it. In the meantime, we’ll keep everyone up to speed as well as we can on good ol’ Version 1. I thought I’d also share some of the stats from the site with you all, if only because I’m the type that enjoys sharing stats.

April has followed the curve and done itself proud, with 635 unique visitors in the 25 days so far. We’re quite please with that, with you all clocking up 18978 hits on the site! That’s almost 62,000 hits since we launched.

For all you employers out there, please note that we get most of our visitors on Monday’s – particularly around noon, dipping at lunchtime and between five and six, so I’m guessing that not a lot of work is being done at those desks ;). Prime Time is bewteen 10 and 11 at night.

In order of attendance, Ireland streaks home followed by the USofA, ‘Europe’, Finland, Great Britain, Spain, Romania, Germany, Sweden, Canada, Denmark, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Australia, France, Taiwan, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Netherlands, Switzerland, South Korea, China, Latvia, Czech Republic, and finally (ominously), the ‘Others’.

The news section is a definate winner, massing up 1079 views since the 1st of the month, followed by the ‘Other’ section, Blue Smokie’s page, and of course the Galleries.

I’ll finish by welcoming all the newest visitors to the site, who got here primarily via Google and used some 390 search words in doing so! And last, but by no means least, could the (literally!) 0.1% still using Netscape – last released in 1998 – please stand up?

Anyway, thanks again to all of you from everyone here, and from me, the typist, and we look forward to building the best site we can for you all. Bear with me before the new version gets here – it’ll all be worth it!

- Éamonn.

P.S. With the thought in mind of the popularity of the News blog, I’m going to take the opportunity to remind you all to be sure to let us know of any events or news from your area you’d like to announce here. Send it in via the above link, or just add a comment to one of our posts. ‘News’ does not constitute spelling errors – I get reminded of that enough here!
