Update on the Apr ’09 Council Meeting, AGM, Inspections

As usual four council members retire in rotation every year. This year, Kieran Curran, Andy O Donoghue, Cáilín Conneely, and Thomas Keaney are stepping down with the first three seeking re-election. After twelve years on council and serving as vice-president and on many committies Thomas Keaney is not seeking re-election and all is now set for the AGM on the tenth of May in the Westwood Hotel. The AGM (3:30pm) will be preceeded by an EGM at 2:30 to make some minor changes to the memo and articles of association.

It was decided at last Tuesday’s Council meeting to move the Loose Jumping Competition to the Friday after the Clifden Show and to develop the performance day further. The Sales normally held on the Friday are being moved to the Saturday in order to free the Friday for more Performance activities and in order to give patrons a chance to attend both.

With the inspections on the Clifden run today, the Spring Inspections are now complete. Another round of inspections will be held in September.
