Updated Stats for Ashbrookstud.ie

statsHi Guys and Gals, Éamonn here with another website statistics post. We did one of these back at the end of April, so I reckon why not again, to see how we’re doing? I’ve also included some updates as to what to look forward to over the coming weeks.

Well, back in April, we had some 635 visits in the month up to the day of the post, finishing at a grand total of 839 by the time May arrived. So far in July we have stacked up an impressive 1,590 visits from 507 unique users, who browsed through the equivalent of 4367 pages! That’s almost exactly a tenfold increase in traffic since our launch in February (when we were graced with 154 visits in total for the month). AshbrookStud.ie can now count on an average of roughly 80 visits a day, with our server pumping out responses to 181,717 hits so far. We’re predictably delighted with this, and thank you all most sincerely for taking the time to visit us.

Most of our visitors join us on a Friday or Saturday (Irish time), and we still get that big jump at lunchtime throughout the week – although (suspiciously!) numbers remain pretty high throughout the rest of the working day. Somewhat momentously, the United States now provide the largest number of visits, although Irish visitors retain an unsurmountable lead in terms of browsing the site as a whole.

Talking percentages. 84.9% of you are using a PC, with Mac’s languishing at just under 6%. It’s most gratifying to see, however, that 74% of you have us bookmarked, and get here directly, with only 7% having to reach us by search engine. Thanks! 60.2%, however, are still using the dreaded Internet Explorer, although use of other (better and safer) browsers is rising, with Firefox almost hitting 20%. That one guy still using Netscape is still hanging on, bless him…

Whenever I do these little posts, I always like to remind you all that we are always looking for content or news to post. The market is clearly there, so if you do have anything of interest to the wider community (show results, announcements, etc. ) please, please, send it in. We’d be only too delighted to have it. I’d also like to note that I hope to do a poll soon to help us improve the site’s services and usability, so be sure to take part in that. Democracy in action. Can we do it? Yes, we can. ;)

Some upcoming posts will include what will (hopefully) be an interesting article on Sheila’s Pal, as well as a peek at some content that will end up in Tom’s book, featuring some really beautiful old photo’s. We’ll also be gearing up for Clifden. And if any of you have anything to share, we’ll have that to look forward to as well!

Once again, thank you, most sincerely, for visiting – and continuing to visit – our humble little blog. We can only hope that we can continue to grow, improve and continue to enjoy your company into the future.

Best regards from myself, Tom and all the gang.
